Dälek

Na koncert Dälek (Newark/NJ) wybrałem się namówiony bardziej przez kolegę i trochę z ciekawości – znałem kilka płyt i czytałem bardzo dobry wywiad z Willem w ostatnim numerze „GLW DRK”, bo trudno powiedzieć, abym był jakimś ogromnych ich fanem. Do dnia, w którym zobaczyłem ten koncert. Stałem i gapiłem się na tych typów, którzy na scenie prezentowali się doskonale. Cały listopad ich muzyka towarzyszyła mi w drodze do i z pracy. Potem początkujący bluesman z Krakowa wyjawił mi sekret, że czytał w jakimś wywiadzie, że tworząc swoją ostatnią płytę typowie inspirowali się Twin Peaks. Nic nie dzieje się bez przyczyny, jak widać. Kawałek poniżej znajdziecie na tej właśnie płycie zatytułowanej “Abandoned Language”.



I wouldn’t have said that I was a big Dälek (Newark/NJ) fan – ok, I heard some of their records and read a really good interview with Will in the last issue of “GLW DRK” but that’s it, a friend of mine dragged me there and since then – well, I’ve been listening to Dälek throughout November’s dark and gloomy mornings and afternoons while being squashed in the subway on my way to/from work. A nice pal of mine told me he had read somewhere that those dudes were heavily inspired by Twin Peaks while working on their last album. Everything happens with a reason, doesn’t it? Here goes the live version of the song you can find on their last record called “Abandoned Language”.
